CBDC Move from the Central Bank of Mexico

Central Bank of Mexico President Victoria Rodriguez Ceja, in her statement in the Mexican Senate, stated that they have carried out some studies for their own central bank digital currency (CBDC) after the popular crypto money sector. Rodriguez, pointing to the year 2025, signaled that they will process the currency in 3 years.

According to President Rodriguez, the CBDC, which will go into circulation, will add new payment options to the existing payment options.
