Coinbase Is Planning To List DOGE
Coinbase, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, announced that it will list Dogecoin.
Coinbase is planning to list DOGE. Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, announced that they will list Dogecoin in six to eight weeks at the company’s conference call, where the results were announced in the first three months of 2021.
Dogecoin is on the rise after this news. Dogecoin, which declined to $ 0.38 the day Elon Musk hosted the SNL, rose to $ 0.43 with the effect of this news.
Armstrong also said that they will list the coins that have just been released and do not have any trading volume in the future. Coinbase CEO added that they are continuing to work to speed up the coin listing processes.
Elon Musk recently surveyed his 55 million followers on Twitter about whether they wanted Tesla to accept Dogecoin. Prior to this, SpaceX reported that it received payment via DOGE for a space transport to be made in 2022.
Dogecoin has been one of the most mentioned units in the cryptocurrency market this year. The cryptocurrency, which recently saw $ 0.75, rallied at that point, up 25,000 percent in a six-month period. Such a breakthrough from Dogecoin has also led to the emergence of many similar cryptocurrencies.
Another important development about DOGE was the news about the creation of a global developer team. Mobile application development company AppSwarm and blockchain research initiative DogeLabs.io announced that they are preparing to establish a team that will develop applications on Dogecoin.
After Coinbase announced that it would list Dogecoin, those who reacted to Elon Musk‘s statements regarding Bitcoin launched a campaign to exclude Dogecoin from Binance. In the campaign launched with the hashtag #DelistDOGE, thousands of tweets were posted on Twitter.
On the other hand, according to Coinbase’s first quarter data, the company’s net profit in January-March was above $ 771 million. This figure is more than four times the data in the fourth quarter of 2020. Coinbase holds over 56 million verified users and holds $ 223 billion in user assets.
