Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on May 16 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 656 thousand 215 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 650 thousand 480 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 31 thousand 340 megawatt-hour at 9 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 21 thousand 506 megawatt-hour at 7 am.
While 656 thousand 215 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 650 thousand 480 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas plants ranked first in production with a share of 17.9 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 17 percent and wind power plants with 16.9 percent.
While 6,278 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday, 11,994 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
