BIST 100 Index Broke A Record On Wednesday
BIST 100 index broke a record on Wednesday. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 1.52 percent at 2,190.61 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 32.88 points and 1.52 percent compared to the previous close, reached an all-time high with 2,190.61 points.
While the banking index gained 1.83 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 1.61%. While construction was the highest earner among the sector indices with 5.11 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 2.68 percent, bringing the closing record to 2,157.74 points.
Analysts stated that before the US Federal Reserve's (
Fed) monetary policy decisions to be announced today, a mixed course was followed in the world stock markets, while the positive divergence of domestic stock markets continued.
Stating that the Fed is not expected to make a change in interest rates, but that it may accelerate the reduction of the bond purchases announced by the bank last month in the face of inflation reaching the highest level of nearly 40 years and record producer prices, analysts said that the messages to be given by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell regarding the 2022 interest rate path after the decision would be critical.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 2,250 is in a position of resistance and the level of 2.030 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
