BIST 100 index started Thursday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 0.69 percent at 2,056.21 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 14.14 points and 0.69 percent compared to the previous close, reached 2,056.21 points. While the banking index gained 0.63 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.43 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the most profitable with 1.81 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 2.49 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 2.042.08 points with a 3.14% gain. Analysts stated that concerns about inflation and the pace of tightening in monetary policies remained at the center of the agenda, adding that increasing geopolitical risks also increased volatility in the stock markets. Analysts, who stated that the interest rate decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) and changes in the text of the decision will be determinant on the direction of the markets, in the domestic market, stated that in addition to the European Central Bank (ECB) meeting minutes, inflation in the Eurozone, weekly unemployment claims in the USA and the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing industry index will be monitored closely. It was stated that the levels of 2.070 and 2.090 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.970 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
