BIST 100 Started Friday With Gains
BIST 100 index started Friday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,867.71 points with an increase of 0.22 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 4.07 points and 0.22 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,867.71 points.
While the banking index depreciated by 0.10 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.20 percent. Among the sector indices, construction was the highest earner with 0.79 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 0.37 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 1,863.65 points with a 1.68% depreciation after following a seller heavy course.
In the meantime, the "up step rule" in short selling transactions, which started to be implemented on December 20 for the stocks in the BIST 50 index, will continue today. Today, there will be no trading in the markets of Germany, Italy and Spain due to the holiday. In the UK and France, the markets will be open until noon.
Analysts stated that the stock markets were mixed, with the concern that the increasing number of cases due to the Omicron variant in the coronavirus epidemic may adversely affect the economic activity.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.940 is in a position of resistance, and the levels of 1.840 and 1.790 are in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
