BIST 100 Started Tuesday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Tuesday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,941.26 points with an increase of 0.76 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 14.60 points and 0.76 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,941.26 points. While the banking index gained 0.22 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 1.19 percent. While all sector indices started the day with an increase, the highest increase was recorded on sports with 1.22%. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a positive course yesterday and closed the day at 1,926.66 points with an increase of 3.71 percent. Analysts stated that the global stock markets followed a mixed course due to the increased cases of Omicron variant in the coronavirus epidemic. Analysts, who emphasized that the rise in US bond rates, which reached above 1.63% yesterday, will be closely monitored, stated that the real effective exchange rate in the country, retail sales and unemployment in Germany, the manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) in the UK, and the ISM manufacturing industry PMI and JOLTS job openings in the USA will be followed. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.950 and 2.000 are in the resistance position and the level of 1.900 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
