Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ICI, made remarkable statements regarding the problems experienced by the
industrial sector in accessing financing.
Erdal Bahçıvan stated that there have been serious problems in the credit resources of Turkish Eximbank, which is the most important financial support item of the exporter industrialists, which is the strongest support and lifeblood of the economy, production and current account deficit with the economic policies put into practice.
Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ICI, said, "Despite all the good intentions of Turk Eximbank, these problems arising from outside the bank also cause problems for the bank's management. We observe and monitor that the developments that have become gangrenous with the latest BRSA practices, which stemmed from different problems originating primarily from the Central Bank, have started to create very serious problems for our exporter industrialists in terms of access to quality financing. We believe that our export and industrial sectors do not deserve such unpleasant surprises. If a permanent solution is not brought to this issue as soon as possible, let alone in the coming days, we regretfully observe that we are on the eve of a number of developments that will negatively affect our economy in the export figures and production figures in the near future."
