Gürcan Karakaş: "TOGG is the New Player of the New World!"

Addressing young people at Summit 23, Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş said, "We are all afraid, this is a very human thing. But we also have courage, so we overcome fear. The rules of the game are completely changing. The fact that you have been making cars for 100 years does not change this fact. TOGG is the new player of the new world."

The Summit 23 event, organized for the second time this year by the 23 Talents Association, was organized by Ernst&Young Turkey Country President Metin Canoğlulları "Uncertainty", Trendyol Group President Çağlayan Çetin "Passion", TOGG CEO Gürcan Karakaş "Courage", Baltaş Group Founder and Psychologist Acar Baltaş "Doubt", Vakko CEO Jaklin Güner shared her success stories with university students under the title "Curiosity" and historian İlber Ortaylı under the title "Peace of Mind", Cisco Turkey CEO Didem Duru under the title "Conscience", Antalyaspor Football Manager Nuri Şahin and actress Demet Akbag under the title "Balance". Gürcan Karakaş, CEO of Turkey's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG), made the following statements in the "Courage" session:  "One should be able to move forward with agility in uncertain environments. One should never shy away from sharing new ideas. Intellectual capacity is very important and should be developed. Be unifying and empathetic in interpersonal interactions. There are 4 common characteristics of a courageous individual. Eagerness to learn, emotional strength, intellectual capacity and interpersonal communication. To increase your courage, be flexible, embrace change, don't look at 'what people will say'. Turn motivation into action. Instead of thinking for 20 hours, try 3 times. Understand the big picture. What we call courage in business life always takes us to the next step. We are all afraid, it is a very human thing, but we also have courage, so we overcome fear. Is TOGG a show of courage against 100-year-old automotive companies? If we look at the world TOGG is in, the rules of the game are changing. TOGG is a new player in a new world. And change gives opportunity to brave players. The fact that you have been making cars for 100 years does not change this fact. When they came to me for such a project, my heart was stirred. 1200 people are working on our project. By the end of 2022, we are targeting more than 1400 employees. We gained 27 people through reverse brain drain. The result of courage is the smart vehicle you see here. As long as you focus on finishing the job.
