Saying, "I appreciate those who decided to impose sanctions. We want to see the continuation of the pressure of the sanctions."
In his speech, Zelensky used the following expressions: "We thank the efforts of Europe and NATO. I want to thank my citizens. Today we have received an extremely important signal from Ukrainian society. I am pleased that our idea is being supported. With the support of Poland, we are a NATO candidate for Ukraine. We request that the status be granted. We will continue our cooperation with our friends."
In response to the developments, the Security Council in Ukraine declared a state of emergency in the country. Reserve military personnel were called to duty.
