Exports from Trabzon to the United States (USA) increased by 9 percent compared to the previous year. According to the statement made by the data of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association, 20 million 38 thousand 100 dollars export from 9 sectors to the USA was realized from Trabzon last year. In the previous year, the city exported 18 million 449 thousand 458 dollars from 7 sectors. Thus, exports from Trabzon to the USA increased by 9 percent compared to the previous year. In this period, hazelnut and its products were the first in the product basis, the defense and aerospace industry took the second place, and hookah tobacco took the third place. Last year, 18 million 42 thousand 944 dollars of hazelnut and products were exported from Trabzon to the USA, while 1 million 789 thousand 414 dollars of defense and aviation industry products and 95 thousand 253 dollars of hookah tobacco were sent. Wood products and forestry products, machinery and accessories from the city that were not exported to the US in the previous year were also sold last year. The products with the highest increase in the export potential to the country in question last year were aquaculture and livestock products.
