In a written statement made by the Ministry of Health of the State of Berlin, German Health Minister Jens Spahn informed that the approval and shipment of the coronavirus vaccine developed by the German biotechnology company BioNTech is expected at the Health Ministers Conference, which includes the health ministers of the states.
In the statement in question, according to the result of the conference, it was stated that "for the states, the vaccination start date against Covid-19 will be December 27", and it is predicted that the vaccination is planned to start from nursing homes first. However, in order for the vaccine to be used in Germany, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) needs to approve.
