Istanbul Paid 113 Billion Lira for Tax in 3 Months Istanbul paid 113 billion lira for tax in 3 months. The total tax collected in the city increased by 38.3 percent in the third quarter of 2020 compared to the same period last year, reaching 113 billion lira. Istanbul Statistics Office shared the October 2020 Financial Statistics Istanbul Economy Bulletin. According to the shared data, a total of 113 billion TL tax was collected in Istanbul in the third quarter of 2020. The share of tax revenue in the central government budget, which increased by 38.3 percent compared to the same period of 2019, was recorded as 46.6 percent.   Share in Central Government 61% 29.3 billion TL of the Turkey ‘s Central Government Budget revenues in the third quarter of this year was derived from corporate taxes. While 17.9 billion TL corporate tax income was collected from Istanbul, its share in the Central Government was 61 percent.   Tax Income Up 73.8 Percent In the third quarter of this year, the share of special consumption tax in general budget revenues in Istanbul increased compared to the second quarter and was recorded as 24.9 percent and 26.4 percent in tax revenues. Special consumption tax (SCT) revenue increased by 73.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019.
