Microsoft Decides to Reduce Operations in Russia. US-based multinational technology company Microsoft announced today that it will significantly reduce its operations in Russia due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
The statement about the decision was made by a Microsoft spokesperson, “As a result of the changes in the economic outlook and the impact on our business in Russia, we have made the decision to significantly downsize our operations in Russia.”
Reminding that new sales are currently suspended, it was stated that existing contractual obligations for Russian customers will continue to be fulfilled.
It was also stated that more than 400 employees who will be affected by this situation will be supported.
The war, which started with Russia's entry into Ukraine on February 24, has caused many companies to withdraw from Russia or stop their operations so far.
