Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca: "There will be a maximum of 8 shifts per month
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, in his statement on the Regulation on Specialty Training in Medicine and Dentistry, noted that assistants will be on duty a maximum of 8 times a month.
Speaking about the regulation published in the Official Gazette, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said,
"The Regulation on Specialization Training in Medicine and Dentistry published in the Official Gazette does not cover the current applications. I wish success to all my colleagues who will take TUS." Explaining that with the limitation imposed by the Regulation on Specialty Training in Medicine and Dentistry, residents will now have a maximum of 8 shifts a month, no more frequently than once every 3 days, Minister of Health Koca underlined that residents who keep night shifts will not be on duty the next day.
Minister Koca emphasized that according to the regulation, the questions in TUS and DUS are aimed to be based on the faculty core education program and said,
"The rate of questions based on core education was 80 percent in the last exam. The target is 100 percent. For YDUS, it is aimed to comply with the core curriculum."
