Nancy Pelosi: “We Will Not Watch China Isolate Taiwan”
Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, made important statements after her visit to Taiwan. Pelosi stated that China "will not be allowed" to isolate Taiwan in her first live broadcast.
Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, who participated in NBC's morning program, underlined that other countries cannot interfere in who visits Taiwan, a free country, and said,
"They can tell them (Taiwanese) that they will not enter the World Health Organization, but they cannot interfere in who goes to Taiwan. We cannot allow the Chinese government to isolate Taiwan."
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who traveled to Taiwan with a 6-person delegation and emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary communication, said,
"As Speaker of the House of Representatives, I had overwhelming bipartisan (Democratic and Republican Party) bipartisan support with the distinguished delegation I traveled with for our visit to Taiwan. We were very well received by thousands of people in Taiwan."
"Congress can show its support for countries and democracies that we are friends with. Taiwan is our friend according to Taiwan's political law. I'm not clear about the content, but we believe in the rule of law and no one in our country is above the law. Even if it is the President of the United States."
