Pre-Holiday Gasoline Increase

Increase in gasoline prices before Eid al-Fitr. As of today, the price of gasoline has increased, effective from April 30. Gasoline prices were raised when Brent oil reached a high of 107 dollars. The current gasoline prices have risen above 20 TL since the last increase. As of April 30, the liter price of gasoline was increased by 1.33 TL to 20.34 TL in Istanbul, and to 20.44 TL in Ankara and İzmir. EPGIS HAS DECIDED TO STOP PRICE SHARING Upon the call of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) Chairman Yılmaz, a meeting was held with the participation of the representatives of the distribution and dealer associations of the fuel sector. After the meeting, it was announced that the 'ceiling price' application could be brought to the agenda again. The rise in oil prices with the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war was reflected as a hike in fuel, sparking the debate between EMRA and the Energy Oil Gas Supply Stations Employer Union (EPGİS). After mutual statements, a criminal complaint was filed against EPGIS, and EPGIS paused its fuel price announcements on social media.
