President Ibrahim Reisi: "We are at the Nuclear Negotiations Table”
Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi said that they will not run away from the nuclear negotiation table. "We have said that we are ready for honorable negotiations. We are not running away from the negotiating table because we have reasonable demands."
Speaking at Ez-Zahra University in Tehran, President Ibrahim Reisi said that his country will not run away from the nuclear talks that have not yet reached a conclusion.
"They said, 'agree with us and sign the agreements we say so that your country's problems can be solved'. We said we are ready for honorable negotiations. We are not running away from the negotiating table because we have reasonable demands. I asked Mr. Macron and the experts in New York to tell me which of our demands were not reasonable. Then they agreed that our words were defensible."
Speaking about the spread of the protests about Mehsa Emini, who died after being detained in Iran for
"not following the dress code", to universities, Reisi said,
"Our students and professors are vigilant. They will not allow the enemy's false dreams to come true and they will fail the enemy's plans."
In addition, Amir Kebir University and Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran made separate statements and announced the release of all students detained in the demonstrations.
