The Hungarian Mercedes and Audi plants limit production due to a lack of parts
Due to the global shortage of car parts, the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét, Hungary, is stopping production for ten days.
For the same reasons, Audi's production plant in Győr continues production in only one change for the next two weeks, the economic server Vg.hu reported on Tuesday.
Audi Hungaria communication manager Mónika Czechmeisterová told the server that they are limiting production capacities in all production plants in this group.
She added that the
Volkswagen Group is working intensively to solve this problem as soon as possible.
For the time being, the global shortage of parts is not causing problems for the production plant of the Japanese carmaker Suzuki in
Esztergom. Together with suppliers, they are working to ensure that deliveries of parts to car production are ongoing, Magyar Suzuki said.
