The US stock market has grown stronger thanks to technology companies
The central bank will continue its support measures.
The US stock market strengthened on Tuesday. Large technology companies such as Amazon, Apple and Microsoft contributed the most to the growth.
Investors welcomed the speech by the head of the Federal Reserve System (Fed)
Jerome Powell, who assured in Congress that the central bank would continue with support measures.
The S&P 500 strengthened by 0.7% to 3,940.59 points, the Dow Jones by 0.3% to 32,371.20 points and the Nasdaq by 1.2% to 13,377.54 points.
According to the head of the
Fed, the conditions in the economy are improving, but the recovery is far from complete. The Fed will therefore support the economy for as long as necessary.
Last week, markets praised Powell's statement that central bank interest rates would remain close to zero by the end of 2023, despite the expected acceleration in inflation.
