In his statement on the subject, TikTok used the expressions "We have no choice but to appeal through the judiciary in order to ensure that the rule of law is not ignored and that our company and our users are treated fairly." Trump announced in his administrative order published on August 6 that all transactions of Chinese ByteDance subject to the jurisdiction of the United States will be banned within 45 days. In another decision published on August 14, ByteDance was given 90 days to cancel TikTok's US operations.
