What is a Super Bond?
Super
bonds, also known as Freckles bonds, have been on the economic agenda lately. In 1994, the DYP-SHP government led by Tansu Çiller used super bonds.
A bond is a document that ensures the existence of this debt in exchange for an investor or investors borrowing from the government, an institution or the state treasury.
In short, it is a debt
bond. The most important feature of the bond is the maturity. Bonds with a payment term of less than 1 year are called super bonds. But super bonds are high interest rates.
Bonds, issued with the aim of meeting the financing needs of companies or governments, are very similar to using loans from the bank in terms of repayment with interest added to the principal at the end of a certain maturity.
